By Crystal Anderson, Executive Director
As you read this, we’re ready to kick off our 32nd season, and we hope as an AGMC supporter you find that as exciting as we do!
There are many new things to look forward to in the coming year. Elsewhere in this issue, my colleague and friend AD Kevin Robisonhighlights our main three-concert season. But did you know that we’re also including an expanded scope of community partnerships and outreach projects into our repertoire as well?
The board, staff and membership of the AGMC will be reaching out a helping hand to the Atlanta community this season by leading clothing and food drives to benefit other local non-profit organizations, as well as participating in several service projects led by our members.
Women’s Project – The AGMC is excited to announce the launch of The AGMC Women’s Chorus Project, scheduled to premiere at the annual holiday concert Dec. 7-8. (See story above for details, including how to apply for the director position.) The foundation for what we hope will become a full women’s chorus, the project is anticipated to begin as an ensemble of female singers led by an artistic director under Kevin’s supervision.(As always, lesbian, bisexual, straight and questioning/friendly are all welcome!)
New season-subscription plan – Finally, the board and staff of the AGMC have created a new season subscription plan for the 32nd season. From now through Dec. 1, you can secure tickets for the entire three-concert subscription season for only $100!
Season ticket holders will receive benefits such as premium seating at all concerts and an invitation to the annual pre-concert VIP reception before the always-anticipated holiday concert at the beautiful Cathedral of St. Philip.
Visit our website for more information on how you can purchase your season tickets or to become a member of the AGMC’s Circle of Friends donor program.
As always, we appreciate your continued support of the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus. We look forward to seeing and hearing from you in season 32!
