New Group Celebrates Love Found, Love Lost
“From Dante to Broadway, this premier concert of the AWC will feature a moving collection of music on the themes of love found and love lost,” said Dr. Melissa T. Arasi, the chorus’ conductor. “With a moving collection of songs, be prepared to laugh and cry as you reflect on your own journey while you enjoy the intricate harmonies and powerful sound of this new chorus.”
AWC Expands the Voices of Note Family
The Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus family expanded earlier this year to include the new Atlanta Women’s Chorus, an auditioned volunteer organization open to women regardless of sexual orientation “We’ve been so proud to launch the AWC under the administrative banner of our new Voices of Note organization,” said Eric Klem, board chair. “The response of our women’s chorus project this past spring was exceptional, and we have nearly 50 women singing under the direction of the talented Dr. Arasi.”
After two guest appearances with the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus over the last year, the women are excited about presenting this first full program, Arasi noted. “We hope you’ll join us as history happens for this vibrant new Atlanta ensemble.”
