It is interesting as you get older how you begin to realize that not everything you knew as a child was necessarily as you thought it was. First performed in September of 2021, this show had been planned for June of 2020. The AWC explores what it means to call Atlanta home! From the Native Americans that called this area home, the Civil War, the Civil Rights Movement, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, and gay rights, to classical, popular and hip-hop music that has been derived here – there is so much that makes Atlanta a rich and diverse city!
